Taught by the certified Clara LeBlanc, this classes uses the chakra system and yoga combined to release and clear the path to open blockages that are holding tension, pain, low self esteem, and any imbalances you may be having. The practice of chakra yoga opens and balances your energy that will leave you feeling the difference for days after the class is over.
2. Nothing But Hands from Bittersweet Studios
This is a hands only acro-balancing class that trains skills you can do virtually anywhere. It focuses on exercises on the floor as well as hand-balancing canes. Some of the exercises completed are a one-arm crocs, headstands to handstands, and aerials. This class for everyone, but it does require quite a bit of conditioning while focusing on keeping the correct form through every movement. Sometimes, power yoga poses are incorporated into the class to work on balance and building strength.
3. Boxing Workout from Title Boxing Club
A total body boxing workout will challenge you to go to the next level in fitness while amping up your routine with a workout led by professional trainers. These workouts are one hour long each and are very intense. In order to take this class, you must be prepared to have an hour of fun, completing explosive workouts that targets all the major muscle groups during cardio training. Join this class to get the fat melting off your body!
4. Boot Camps by Fitness Lab Jax
Designed as a workout that will help you lose the most amount of fat in the shortest amount of time possible, Boot Camps are the way to stay fit. It is a circuit workout system that combines cardio, core, and resistance training in order to keep your metabolism burning for hours after workout. Boot Camp is designed for both men and women of all ages who are looking to lose weight or get back into prime cardiovascular shape again. If you are looking for a night out on the town with your significant other, this is the film for you. Romance film 6 Years is about a young couple bound by a seemingly ideal love that begins to unravel as unexpected opportunities spin them down a volatile and violent path. This path threatens the future they are originally imagined and wanted. The ending is a mystery, and the true test is to see how strong their love for each other really is. Check out 6 Years on August 18 in theatres.
3. Sinister 2
Releasing on August 21, this horrifying follow up to Sinister is about a young mother and her twin sons. They move into a rural house that is marked for death, and the rest is history. This film is filled with horror and is bound to have you jumping in your seat throughout the full ninety-seven minute runtime.
4. Z for Zachariah
Showing in theatres on August 28, Z for Zachariah is a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. In the wake of a disaster that wipes out most of civilization, two men and a young woman find themselves in an emotional love triangle. There’s just one problem – they are the last known survivors still walking on earth. A mix of drama and sci-fi, this thriller has aspects for all viewers.

Clothes for the weather: If your child is going to a college that is in a different state or even a different part of the state there is a good chance that the weather will be different. The GAAM Show
The GAAM Show, an annual gaming festival held at The Museum and Gardens in Jacksonville, is notorious for creating lifelong memories. The party goes long into the night at this festival, where there is music, art exhibits, live performances, art auctions, and arcade gaming. Be sure to check out the local food trucks that will blow you away with amazing flavors. Be sure to leave the kids home for this party, because you must be 17 years or older to attend.
Grom Surf Festival
Do you love the beach, but need to change up your regular beach entertainment? Then head over to the 7th Annual Grom Surf Festival for a contest of sweet moves and an exciting day at the beach. If you are a beginner at riding the waves, this contest is for you. The introductory surfing contest starts at 9:00am and goes on into the day. The contest is only for 10 and below, so sign up your youngsters today to see them rock out some moves! All contestants go home with a t-shirt, goody bag, and a medal. Everyone is a winner! They also have the chance to improve their skills by working with some of the best surfers around. Sign up now, because the contest is only taking 150 participants.
Summer Jazz Series
The Summer Jazz Series at the Sea Walk Pavilion is back for it’s 13th summer. Head over to the venue July 13th, where performances start at 5:00pm and go on into the night. Opening is Nate Mitchell, a fantastic jazz musician, followed by Jessy J, a world renowned saxophone player, and headlining is Nick Colionne, someone you do not want to miss. Junior Achievement Grand Prix
This fundraising event is a day of great fun for a great cause. The Junior Achievement Grand Prix, and indoor go-kart racing event held at the Executive Park, sends all of it proceeds towards various literacy programs for young men. On July 28th, dig in your closet for your racing stripes, because you are about to enter the Grand Prix. You can sign up as a participant or even sponsor a competing team. Take a day to be engaged and inspired through arts, gardens, and education at The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. Built on the site of the home of Arthur and Ninah, Crummer opened Novermber 10, 1961. THey exhibit over 6,000 works of art which allows them to encompass 8,000 years of art history. A day at this museum will leave you in amazement of art and wondering about what else happened in the past.
2. Friendship Fountain
Located in St. John’s River Park on the South bank, Friendship Fountain opened in 1965. Back then it was the world’s largest and tallest fountain that was capable of spraying 17,000 gallons of water a minute to a height of 120 feet. This is a great architectural feat! It gained popularity due to its colored neon lights that shine bright at night. Many people come to visit and relax with friends in front of a great piece of architecture. Don’t miss out on seeing one of the biggest fountains you will ever see in your entire life!
3. Jacksonville Top To Bottom Walking Tour
Grab your best pair of walking shoes in order to have professional tour guides take you on the river, through buildings, on a rooftop, and through old bank tunnels under the streets.
